Enabled Vs Disabled

Competitors can exist without being active for your site

The competitors screen separates competitors that are currently enabled for your site from competitors that are available but switched off. This lets you keep the competitor library broad without using every source in active pricing logic.

Adding Competitors

How to request a new competitor

1

Open the competitors area

Review the existing enabled and disabled competitors first in case the source already exists.

2

Add the competitor URL if it is missing

Pricemaster records the request so the source can be set up for monitoring.

3

Return later and enable it when it is available

Once the competitor has been prepared and matched, enable it for your site so it contributes to pricing views and rules.

Reviewing Coverage

How to tell whether a competitor is useful

  • Check how many products are matched to that competitor.
  • Open the competitor details view to see if the matches look credible.
  • Pay attention to whether recent prices are present and fresh.
  • If an important competitor has messy data, use duplicate resolution or direct URLs to tighten the coverage before trusting it in rules.
